Jess & Andy’s Wedding

Jess & Andy had a beautiful outdoor ceremony in Brunswick Heads. Shortly after the ceremony had finished a massive storm rolled in, so we headed to the Brunswick Hotel for some bridal photos and used the beautiful architecture and brick work to create some cool images.

The reception was held at the local country club and by time we got there the storm had cleared just in time for us to head out on the gold course to capture my favourite image of the day.

This wedding was so much much fun. Jess, Andy and the entire bridal party had a wicked sense of humour…. Life in this household will never be dull. Wishing you guys a lifetime of happiness, thank you for letting me share in your special day.

BallyHoo provided the live music for the day and kept everyone dancing into the night.

I shot this wedding on behalf of WildbyNature Photography

No Photoshop Tricks

There is no photoshop manipulation of these images. All it took was a clever camera angle and a couple of brave talented stunt performers to make it look like they were leaping tall buildings in a single bound.

Motorcycle Madness

Pillion Passenger Wheelies

Wheelies on Fire

And this is possibly the craziest thing I have ever done.

The stunt co-oridinator, Ron, walks up to me and says we are going to film a scene where you get shot off a motorcycle. To make it look realistic we need to jerk you off the bike.

“Hmmm ok, how do we do that?”

“Simple, we attach attach one end of a rope to you, and tie the other end round that lampost there. You just have to start riding and let physics do its job!”

“ahhh….. right-o-then… sounds simple enough”

(that is Ron in the background looking real calm and relaxed)

Because I’m Free…. Free Falling

Stepping off the edge of a five story building when it is not on fire, may not sound like a good idea, particularly when the techniques you are instructed to use are called, “the header” and “face off”. Ironically the pedestrian sounding “step out” technique was the hardest to perfom as this is a blind fall.

All the techniques were perfected at lower heights before casting ourselves off the 5th story ledge to the airbag waiting below.

Big thanks to Tony for taking the frames of me below performing a header in the first series of images and a face off in the second.
