Andy & Monica Engagement Pictures

One last engagement session before I leave for some R&R in Mexico. I will of course be taking my camera with me and look forward to capturing some cool images while I am there.

This photo session was taken on Ephraim Island, my favourite location for an engagement shoot. So many different cool settings, so close together… luv it!!

Andy and Monica are gettting married just down the road at the stunning Allisee waterfront apartment complex, it should be a great spot for a wedding.

I will be back in time for Christmas, till then the blog may be a little quiet, but hopefully I will find a reliable enough internet connection to keep my Facebook account up to date.

Till then everyone…. Stay Safe…

Andrew & Christie’s Engagement Photo Shoot

Andrew and Christie are getting married December 29th 2009. We had such a great time on this shoot, I am really looking forward to photographing their wedding. They are getting married at TSS andare having the reception at the Southport golf club on the gold coast. It is going to be stunning.

Check out the wedding website we are building for the future Mr & Mrs Coombridge. More content will be added to the site as the big day approaches.

Chasing Rainbows

Just a super quick post this morning as I am off to Brisbane to pick up my new Drobo. I am paranoid about losing data. My Drobo is going to help me sleep easier, knowing that all my wedding pictures are being continuosly backed up.

I was sitting on the deck yesterday afternoon when a late afternoon rain storm came through, followed by the most amazing rainbow I have seen in a long time.

Have a great weekend everyone and I will catch you all next week.

At the start and end of every day…

This is now how I am starting and ending every day, swimming for 20 minutes. I have always loved the water. I never actually realised how much until I spent a year living in land locked Indiana. I love looking at it, being on it, immersing myself in it. There is something so calm and refreshing about being surrounded every day in everyway by H20.

I use to love long showers, they were my happy place, where I got creative, set goals and solved the worlds problems all at once. Now that I have access to a lap pool, I can do all that and get the blood pumping, talk about productive LOL.

For my photographer friends. The first two images are HDR photographs. Each image is five different exposures merged into one using photomatix pro.

Gorgeous day on the Gold Coast

This was the gorgeous sky I awoke to this morning. Feeling inspired I grabbed my camera and walked out onto the deck and took this photo. Well, two photos actually, then stitched them together in photoshop to create this panorama.

A little later in the morning I meet with Jeanette and Glenn who came over to talk about their wedding plans, and then decided to book us on the spot. They are getting married on April 18th in the beautiful cascade gardens, then they are holding the reception at the Southport RSL. I can’t wait to take some stunning photos of this wedding.

So the weekend is off to a good start.  Now it is time to go down and swim some laps in the pool. I have been spending to much time sitting in front of this computer lately and it is starting to show….
