On the way to Mexico, I had a day to spend in LA so I went and checked out Santa Monica. It was such a cool vibe down at the pier, all sorts of things to stimulate all your senses. I wold love to shoot an engagement session here, so many awesome locations and backdrops. Here is a small selection of my favourite images of the day.
At the end of last year I took a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The great thing about doing what you love for a living is even when you are on holiday, your still practicing your craft. I took over 3,000 photos which I narrowed down to 800 personal keepers, further reduced to 150ish that I shared on Facebook (click the link to see these). One of the great things about living on the Gold Coast is the weather, sooo much sunshine that you look forward to a rainy day, or even better……. a dark and stormy night!!!

So this isn’t the photo safari through the wilds of Africa that is still on my bucket list, but it was still pretty dam cool. If you are visiting the Gold Coast be sure to check out the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary where you can get up close and personal with all sorts of critters.

The light is so beautiful first thing in the morning. A dawn wedding would be awesome to photograph. Not sure how popular you would be with some of the guests though LOL, not everyone is a morning person. These are two of my favourite sunrise photographs. They were taken on the same morning in Monterey California.
