This brings new meaning to arriving in style…. Helicopter Style

Last Friday due to a late schedule change and the laws of physics making it impossible for one person to be in two places at once, a friend of mine Lauren Joy who was the primary photographer on the fabulous wedding of Justin and Teneale was going to be unable to photograph the boys boarding the helicopter on the way to the ceremony. Lauren asked me if I could help out and capture this part of the day. No problem, and I am really glad I did as I love how the images came out.

If you want to arrive at your wedding in a helicopter or just want an incredibly unique view of the city when your in town, call Gold Coast HeliTours (07) 5591-8457 they will take great care of you. I know it is definitely on my to do list.

Increase Your Wedding Energy

Want to improve your energy levels in time for your wedding?  Want to leap out of bed in the morning with vigour and enthusiasm?  Then now is the time to get out and exercise.  Many people don’t work out or train purely because they say they don’t have the time, or they’re too tired after work.  The only way to get around these problems is to schedule and organize your training/exercise sessions into your weekly schedule, and find a way to make sure they happen regardless.

Exercise releases chemicals in your body known as endorphins (feel good hormones), so not only are you improving your health, well being and appearance, you’re also going to feel great as well.  With this in mind, you should look at the types of exercise you enjoy, and perhaps some you would like to try and aim at setting out a realistic time commitment for your exercise sessions.  Take into account some alternative exercise methods for activities that may only be available weather permitting.  This way you won’t miss out even on those bad weather days.

It’s no surprise that getting married can be exhausting.  With a hectic schedule and the added pressure of looking your best, it is essential to improve and maintain your energy levels.  Eating a well balanced diet and staying hydrated are essential to your pre-wedding health.  You cannot expect your body to function well without the proper care and maintenance.

Q. What sort of foods will help boost my energy?

A. Try to eat plenty of fruits, vegetables and grains.  Foods that have a lower glyceamic index number will help to give you slow release energy throughout the day.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Q. Do I need any extra nutrients before a workout?

A. It is a good idea to ensure you are well hydrated prior to, and also throughout your workout.  Also try to consume some energy foods 1-2 hours prior to commencing your workout such as fruits and cereals.

The First Dance

Ok… So if your future hubby is anything like me, he really enjoys shaking his groove thing on the dance floor on a night out. No problem there, as long as it is pretty dark, there are plenty of flashing lights and a crowd on the dance floor so my lack of rythm or any real style isn’t glaringly obvious…

On the other hand, the thought of being the only couple on the dance floor with a spotlight and everybodys eyes fixed on our every move and all of a sudden I am 99% sure stage fright and my two left feet will move into overdrive.

If this is a pretty apt description of your dancing skills as well, don’t panic, you too can look as polished and stylish as Nigel and Katrina (in the pic below) who blew everyone away with their awesome first dance.  Just check out Dance Direct Australia They come to you. They have 9 styles of dance you can choose from to suit your style and taste. And the offer a range of flexible packaged options to suit all budgets, timeframes and skill levels.

Wedding Music

What an important decision!! Do you get a live band or DJ for the reception?? Like most things it comes down to personal preference and budget. You should also consider how much room your venue has as this could have a bearing on your decision.

Remember there is more than likely going to be a wide range of ages and musical tastes in your guest list so try and ensure that there is enough variety in your playlist to keep everyone shaking their groove thing all night long.

If you are looking for a wedding band in Queensland be sure to check out www.theweddingband.com.au  or for a top DJ check out www.dreamsceneentertainment.com
